Welcome to Trimester 2
Homework will be graded a bit differently this trimester. Homework still counts for 10% of the final grade but instead of giving a grade for each individual assignment the students will get a check mark if they did the assignment. At the end of the trimester I will create a homework grade coloumn in my grade book and I will give the students a percentage of how much homework they completed for the trimester. So if there were 10 homework assignments given and a student did 8 of them they will receive an 80% for their homework grade. Because of this new homework grading system you will see check marks for homework assignments throughout the trimester and a percentage at the very end. Labs and project will be given a grade as assigned and will be 20% of the final grade and finally tests/quizzes will be 70% of the final grade. Students will be given the chance each Friday to turn in late work for the week. If assignments are still missing after that credit will be lost.
